Gender issues of violence
Some time back I remember seeing this research by Martin Fiebert, California State University, and thought it helpful in revealing the bias routinely observed in the media concerning "women as victims".
From the website:
275 scholarly investigations: 214 empirical studies and 61 reviews and/or analyses, ... demonstrate that women are as physically aggressive, or more aggressive, than men in their relationships with their spouses or male partners.
The underlying cause for such bias (that women are more likely the recipients of violence, when in fact teenage males are overwhelming more likely to be recipients of violence) is partly what my work is about ... how masculine and feminine biases of energies and focuses play out in various cultures.
There are simple tests by which to discover and highlight such biases. But what is of most value and benefit is to understand the deeper masculine-feminine complementarity in life. This then allows an understanding of why biases exist in the first place, and why they will continue.
