Initially this site was started by me (Steaphen Pirie, author) to help keep track of the interesting and valuable content on the Internet. As any writer will appreciate we draw on a wide range of resources. We in effect stand on the shoulders of others in order to see further and contribute back to society. I'm happy to give full credit to those resources that inspire or add to my knowledge, or provide different perspectives to what is a timeless theme: the naturally creative flow of life.

While Twitter has lists that are useful, or can be made to be useful, I did not find any websites that enabled me to categorise valued content, or comment on them in a way that I wanted (e.g. citing author details, twitter and blog address, related links etc.). Hence this website that features useful links and content (with fair use), under various categories all related to 'productive-creativity'.

What is 'productive-creativity'?

The term 'creative' has often implied, or applied to clever ideas, or artistic drawings and artworks that don't have much practical or functional value.

'Productive-creativity' is creativity that is productive, useful, and valuable. For example, 'productive-creativity' results in health, fitness and wellbeing; business success; innovation, to name a few. The 'results' is emphasised to indicate the productive, useful nature of the creativity. Another term to explain 'productive-creativity' is simply innovation. As John Hagel III explains, "innovation is about ways of creating and delivering more value to the marketplace. That could be through products and technology; it could be through processes, or it could be what we call institutional innovation. That’s rethinking at a fundamental level the rationale for the institution and the roles and relationships across institutions."

The focus of the links and content at this site will be on processes, ideas, technologies and trends that assist greater productive-creativity.
